Confessions of a mother of 3 !!

So those who think I am a perfect, wonderful mother, please don't read this because you will see me in an all new light. . . just kidding, so nobody is perfect, but today was pretty rough. Dylan didn't sleep last night and Brandon went to work early today, got home at 4pm, and left at 4:15 until late, so I was left helpless against bad odds. I was outnumbered 3 to 1 on 3 hours of sleep. Being drowsy and incoherent, I wrote this to the song, "The 12 days of Christmas."

On the first day without help, this is what I did:
12. Took Haley 30 minutes late to school.
11. Put my good pots in the dishwasher.
10. AND didn't even pre-wash them.
11. Changed Maleia's diaper only twice.
10. Couldn't take a nap.
9. Dylan pooped out his diaper! (At Costco none the less)
8. Didn't put on my makeup.
7. Oh, and didn't do my hair.
6. Had 3 hours of sleep.
5. Dylan puked all over! (When Dylan puked all over his outfit. I took it off wrapped him up in a blanket because he was cold. I left the room to get an outfit and found him asleep when I returned snuggled tightly in his blanket. He stayed naked for a while because I didn't want to wake him up to put clothes on him.)
4. My kids watched two movies.
3. Fed them lunch from Costco
2. Fed them dinner on paper plates (with plastic spoons and forks.)
AND
1. Wrote this blog instead of watching kids!

SO I JUST NOTICED THAT I WROTE THE NUMBERS WRONG. . . such was my day. (10-1-07)

Chapman Frenzy !!

I tried to do this a while ago, but it took some motivation from some good friends to finally get blogging. I am a little delirious right now, more zombie-like, because of our little two-week old, but we are doing great. Dylan Glenn arrived September 4th and we have been loving having a little boy around the house. It's amazing how much chaos a little baby can create, but it is definitely welcomed chaos. The girls ADORE him and mother (smother) him relentlessly. Now, if only I can get enough sleep! :)
