Prague is Pretty Posh

Now that we live in Prague, I figure it's about time to go out on the town and see some sites, right? When Ashley, B's sister, came to visit, I was able to take Haley with me to see the sites with Ashley. We had a blast! Ashley was so patient with me since I was playing tourist/tour guide and really didn't know very much. Thank goodness for travel books.

At the castle wall overlooking the city.

Atten-tion!

Me and Smash!

Me & My Haley

This was a present from the French. Look familiar to anyone else?

Castle Gate

Church wall

I still find it fascinating how ornate the buildings are.

Church. Maybe. Hey, I've only been here a few weeks.

Czech military walking in formation.

Charles Bridge with Haley

Smash aka Aunt Ashley looking great as always on Charles Bridge.

We bought some masks for Halloween. We are good at planning ahead.

Old Town Square Clock that "performs" at 11am.

Best hot chocolate in the world. Thick and creamy. I did have to Americanize it a bit though, and add 4 packets of sugar.

We went up the clock tower in the Old Square.

The Church from the top of the Old Square.

Castle View at dusk.

Castle view at night.

We 3 girls out on the town asked a navy man to take our picture who I think was drunk. Don't ask what the guy behind us is doing. Taking a picture of my backside perhaps?

Charles Bridge at night.
We love it here already.

Fall Fun

(Don't you hate it when people write about how long it's been since they have written and apologize as if they have done something wrong? Well, I'm actually only a little sorry for me since now I will have to back track and blog blog blog.)

Wow. It's been forever since I've been on people's blogs. Is this thing on? Hello people! So now I hope to drop by more often and I guess this means I'm back on the blog wagon. More or less. I may be lying, but time will tell. I've noticed other people's blogs kind of going to pot as well. Have you noticed my one and only viewer? Is the blog party over? Well, I'm back. Most likely probably kind of for good. (Wanna bet how long this will last?)

Anyway, here are some pictures.

Logan's first hair cut:

Before...

After!!

Our backyard with Logan in front of a colorful-bush-thing: (Hey, I'm no gardener.) And yes, we finally have a backyard!

Maleia learned how to ride her two wheel bike!! She is quite happy now and asks to ride her bike to school every day.

Random Logan pics.

Hi there folks! I guess you are wondering what I have been up to lately. Well, I'm a baby, so not too much, but let me tell you some of my favorite times recently.

I can now crawl, so I get bonks on my head often enough to raise concern to those around me. Hey, I'm getting better and can even crawl halfway up the stairs until I get pooped.

I like to smolder for the camera sometimes.
Now this. I am good at.

I love to bathe. Can't you tell? No, actually it's one of my favorite things to do.

Playing with Daddy is always fun. Speaking of Daddy, I can now say dada, mama, boo (for book), baa (for ball) and ck! (for yucky.) I can sign also "more" exactly how I am supposed to and I also sign "want" in my own special, but HELFUL way. I can clap and throw my hand up when anyone yells, "touchdown." I got to do that a lot in the last BYU football game.

I'm pretty much the best stander upper now. I can pull myself up to stand and am learning how to walk while holding onto things. Go figure that this is a much better way to see things.

The Dylster! aka: Big D.
He is still the cutest boy around.

Haley-o!
Haley and I had a "mother-daugher date" when Ashley came to visit us. We were able to spend the whole day seeing the sites around Prague together and it was a blast! I love hanging out with Haley.

We were able to see Smash (Ashley-B's sister) for a long weekend before she had to go home. She was here for an event in Paris. Lame work, huh?

I really think this deserves its own blogpost, so stay tuned!

How can you not love that smile?

I am trying to convince Maleia that she looks so adorable in bangs, but she refuses.

šťastný Halloween!

Being overseas in a very populated expat community helps us feel more at home. We still get to celebrate our favorite holidays... even FIVE times. :)

Haley, the budding photographer, took this pic of the two ever scary avid BYU fans.
ooooo Scary! (We even booed everyone we saw.)

Our widdle punkin.
Every one of our kids have worn this hand-me-down costume from my aunt JaNae.

Haley wore this when she was (cough cough) TWO!!
Jen Harper made it for her and she STILL loves it.

Maleia wanted to be a Muskateer.
Dumb Amazon didn't say that the costume didn't come with the hat and sword as in the picture.
Maleia responds, "Where are the accessories?" Such a girl.
We hoped they will come on the real trick or treat night. . .

Dylan wanted to be Bumblebee the Transformer since his birthday when he got this costume. His goal was to wear this costume every day. He's far from that goal, but he runs around asking everyone if he is spooky in this costume.

So on trick or treat night, our little Scaredy Cat got to come out and get some candy. He wanted to open each piece of candy as we went along. So we did. :) He was good at sharing with his mom.

THEY CAME!!!!
Just in time. We actually received the hat and sword moments before taking this picture. This is genuine glee oozing from this little Muskateer. And the sword lasted 5 minutes until I had to take it away because she whacked her brother in the eyeball. The hat lasted 20 minutes because Maleia said it "was bugging the top of my head." Isn't that what a hat is for?

Wonder Woman to the rescue!
This was the first Halloween when she wanted to stay out longer.

The Chapman Trick or Treat team.

I know any baby in a costume is adorable, but wook at dat widdle bum!
It is all that more adorable now that he can crawl!!

Here are our pumpkins and homemade decorations leading to our new home.
Although I am not a HUGE fan of Halloween, it is fun to dress silly and get free candy. I also liked meeting my neighbors, though I didn't recognize most of them.

Oh Well! Happy Halloween!!
