The Chapman kids could do stand up, if they could just say these things on cue

Tonight we watched Ella Enchanted and after they kissed, Maleia said: "Now they can have babies!!" Then Haley spoke up and said: "Not until AFTER their money-moon." And Dylan said, "So momma, did you get a baby on your money-moon?"

Dylan yells, "Momma!! I need to go potty!! Can I just go on the grass?" So before I can respond and as I was running off the porch to help him to the bathroom, he pulls down his pants (church pants) and pees on the grass. Why not? I've always been jealous that boys could do that. But then later, Dylan yells to me, "Momma! I need to go potty again!" I didn't let him this time because he needed to go poop. He cried all the way to the bathroom yelling, "I want to go poop on the grass!!" That's what I get for letting him go once. --By the way, Dylan has not had an accident for FOUR months straight. Day AND night. Way to go bucko!

{I overheared my three kids playing pretend}
H- Okay doggie, (Dylan) let's go for a walk.
M- Maybe he can go walk over there.
H- But that's where the lake is.
M- That's okay, he can walk on water. He's a Jesus Dog.
H- (laughing) A Jesus dog? That is the craziest thing I've ever heard! (to Dylan) Come on Jesus Dog, let's go walk on water.

Maleia- "Aaak! A bug! It's a big GIANT bug! It might BITE me and then I will have to go to the hopstable!" (Dylan runs over and smashes it.) "Oh, Thanks Dylan. You are my HERO! (Watches Dylan in horror.) Ew! Don't touch the poor bug's guts! Poor bug. He just DIED!!" -- I could barely keep up with the switching of dramatics.

Burba Lake Memory with Duckies!

(Click on pic for video.)

I found this clip that just made my night!! We are at Burba Lake in Maryland and these ducks are legendary. I have been reminiscing through pics and clips tonight and it's making me feel a little too nostalgic. My babies need to stay little forever!!

Man Cave

I just received a very manly picture of B while he is away from us in Budapest. He was able to go to the Aggteleki caves on the border of Slovakia with some friends and said he had a rockin' time (pun totally intended) going through all the caves there.

My response: "You didn't even get lost? Booooring!" But it was just my jealousy talking. ;)

Then I get this picture.
He knows that I am a fan of sunflowers, so the car stopped and they took turns taking pictures among them. I am sure he was coerced into taking a picture with them or he was just "taking his turn." It's a little girlie for him... he must miss me. Right?

Adjusting to the UT life

Two weeks down!! And wasn't that easy? Um, not so much, but it IS getting a little easier. We have things going on that help distract the kiddos and we Skype B every day for about an hour!! It's truly amazing to think how people live without Skype when they are away from a loved one. I strongly recommend it.

We survived Business class... barely. The first leg of the trip was 9 hours long and they were awake the whole time. Don't get me wrong, Business class is great... if you are alone. The kids are so far away, I have to get out of my seat to get to them. They don't really appreciate the leg room and space, but I sure did. The food was DELICIOUS! The kids ate almost none of it. It was too fancy for them. The second leg of the trip was supposed to be 5 hours, but we were on the tarmac for 3 extra hours. They fell asleep the minute they got on the plane (since it was 1am our time) so it was a blessing in disguise that they got those 3 extra hours. They slept for the whole 8 hours and I even had to wake them up when we arrived. Awesome! I may or may not have slept for about 3 hours and I even got to watch an entire movie uninterrupted. woohoo!

Both of my parents are here, we had 2 family reunions so far, and there has been less drama that I thought there would be! I mean, my parents are divorced and are staying under the same roof. That's progress my dear friends.

Dylan is getting especially clingy, so that is getting a little old. Especially since he woke up 4 times last night and finally I just brought him to bed with me (I know! Bad parent! Bad Bad!) And he had to sleep with his arm around my neck and every time I would move him away from me, I'd wake up with him strangling me again. So guess how much sleep I got? I know he just needs some extra attention, so we are working on that.

If I were crazy and wanted to run a 10K 5 weeks after having a baby, I would do the Mud Run in Midway. http://www.thedirtydash.com/info.aspx My sister is still a hard core runner and is doing this... I am tempted, but then I think I might get in trouble with my hubby and my OB. sigh. But it looks so FUN!!

Oh, and 6 1/2 more weeks until our little Guppy gets here! woohoo!

Now just some random pics so far...

Me (whale in the pink) my sister-in-law and sister.

The kiddos with their cousins at a splashpad in Ogden.
Dylan is clinging for dear life to my leg as I am taking this picture.
How DARE I let him down!?! Clingy boy.

Me and my bro... from a unflattering angle.
Miss Haley, my budding photographer, loves to take pics.
She only cut off some of Ty's ugly mug. ;)

Round... with somethin' somethin!

So 52 days sounds too long for me, so I am saying 7 more weeks until this little Guppy gets here. There. Now that sounds more manageable, right? But I feel ginormous already!! (Though I am measuring small.)

This is how I feel:

Utah or Bust!

We made it!!
As tough as I think I am and as cool as our housing is, keeping 3 kids entertained in place that isn't your own without their daddy and being prego is rough. I knew this going in, but it sure would be nice to have my tag team partner back! Though, sleeping has gotten better since I am getting bigger and bigger and don't have to share a bed with a snorer. But what a cute little snorer he is!! -sniff!- I try to call him as often as I can... he can vouch for that... just to get some sort of voice of reason/listening and understanding ear. I miss him tons.

I'll give a quick top ten recap of our trip thus far:

10. Flying Business Class is great... but you still have to take care of your kids! What?!? And the food is awesome. My kids didn't touch it. Good thing I made PB&Js for them. Steak and Crusted Parmesan Chicken stuffed with cheese and Basil for me. Bummer.

9. Bad news: We were stuck on the tarmac for 3 hours in NYC ... Good news: My kids were asleep after 5 seconds on the airplane because it was 1am our time and then they slept the whole 5 hour flight too. They got 8 hours of sleep!! I finally got to watch a whole movie without pausing it 20 million times. And even got some sleep too.

8. The first day here, (we arrived at 2am,) I went to my OB appointment and instead of hearing that my baby is in the 2%ile like in Hungary, the little Guppy is in the 30%ile. So I might just have a small baby. They must have some HUGE babies in Hungary... oh, and I didn't get away with not taking the glucose test. I never took it in Hungary. I feel better now being in the hands of my OB here. She is fantastic!

7. The second day I was here I bought a car, licensed the car, insured the car, fixed minor things on the car (new windshield wipers, mats, steering wheel cover, rear view mirror..etc.) Thanks to the help of Reido and Stephanie (my in-laws), we are now proud owners of an '01 Toyota Sienna. We got a killer deal and between the two of us (Reido and I), we wheeled and dealed it great! Thanks again. Our license plate is B30 8LW. I remember it by: B is 30 and I will see him in 8 Long Weeks!!

6. It's sad to see how few Americans follow the World Cup. I miss being around all the excitement and hype!! (And being in the same time zone AND watching with a cute boy who appreciates it even more than I do.)

5. My kids asked Meechelle (my sis) if they could go to the park and play in the garden. She didn't know that they just wanted to go in the backyard and play on her playset. It is very European to call your yard, your garden.

4. Dylan announced that it's time to go home today. Tomorrow we will make a paper chain to help him understand the concept of time. We will make the chain 51 chains long. But who's counting? Maleia is a little weepy at times, so I have to keep her distracted as much as possible. I'm starting to get weepy too... how does the Military DO this all the time??

3. I am LOVING the YUMMO fruit here! Today I had the best watermelon that I have had for a couple of years. I bought and ate blueberries and raspberries at Costco that were the size of my thumb! Notice: I said "ate." Yes I ate 2 Costco sized bins of blueberries and raspberries in 4 days. My kids need to learn to like them, but we don't have them in Hungary as good as these, so they are missing out. . . Next up: Cherries and Peaches!

2. Thanks again to Reid and Stephanie (mostly Stephanie) I am able to use her cell phone that doesn't work in Monticello anyway. (I think that she is just saying that to be nice, so I will check when I am there. That Stephanie is sneaky that way... to downplay her niceness. As a matter of fact, it's a dominant Washburn trait...) Either way, we are EXTREMELY grateful and I feel I can now breathe, settle in, and enjoy what this summer has to offer.

1. I had Cafe Rio for the first time yesterday. I waited a whole 4 days. Aren't you proud of me?

I'm 32 weeks along... just 8 more long weeks... Here's to a Drama-free(ish) summer!!!
