Theeeere's my sweet Dylan smile! :) Is that a little faux-hawk I see growing?So no one is turning 20 years old, actually Dylan just turned 6 months old and is 20 lbs!!! TWENTY! I went in to see the doctor and Dylan is the size of a normal 1 year old already. He told me to check my car seat to make sure that it is built for his size. Come to find out the car seat is built for up to a 22 pounder. I only have 2 pounds left until he needs a bigger car seat. Holy Cow!
Another milestone is that Dylan now sleeps for 11 hours straight! (For the past three nights.) We put him to bed at 8pm-ish and he doesn't wake up to eat until 7am-ish. It has been an adjustment on breastfeeding because I wake up in a little bit of pain, but very rested, so I can't complain too much. He eats solids twice a day, so we think that has helped, but I read that he could be just going through a growth spurt... bigger?
He is still on a killer schedule. He naps two hours in the morning, right when I teach preschool and Haley is at Pre-K, then two hours in the afternoon, while Maleia is napping, too. Then he's up when Maleia gets up and goes to bed with the girls go to bed. Right on! What a champ. You would think I would get more done, but well, let's be honest, not so much. :)
Awwwee Monique he is so cute. I can't believe he is 6 months. 11 hours? that is amazing. Right on. Miss you guys.

ReplyDeleteWell, it's not as if his parents aren't TALL or something! When he smiles, he looks just like Maleia. And my kids are gone all day and sometimes, and i know i do stuff, nothing gets done!

He is so cute! I am glad that he is sleeping more... that has to be nice. (Once your body adjusts anyway) I bet you didn't think you would be worrying about the size of your carseat this early ;)
ReplyDeletemonique that is awesome! and by the way I would LOVE to come out there, but now I am saving all my pennies for a big trip I am planning to Hungary (and various other european countries) in a couple of years. I have a feeling that will be rather expensive!!
ReplyDeleteNot expensive at the Chapman Chateaus! :) Beds, Breakfasts(Lunches and Dinners), and tours of neighboring countries will be our specialty! This price will be just right.

Monique, I am so jealous of your 20pounder. Laine is almost one, but I don't think I'm going to be able to turn her car seat around until she's six. Also, for some reason I can't see these pictures, which makes me sad.
