May?? Really?? Has it really been since May that I have updated my blog? Okay, so that's not a big surprise for me since I have not made time for "the blog" but really, 4 kids has put me a little close to the edge. Can I get a 'what what' from the rest of you with 4 or more?
**crickets**
You must be MUCH better at this than I am, but I do have to say that it's been a fun ride with 4! I'm not complaining because we have been having a great time, I just can't give a good excuse. So I am going to give a whirlwind recap of the past few months... AND try to keep it brief. All of you that know me, know that this will be practically impossible. :)
My in-laws and sister-in-law came to Hungary for two weeks. We took them to Vienna and Salzburg, Austria and were able to go on a Sound of Music Tour.
The day the in-laws left, the movers came to move our stuff to Prague, Czech Republic.
The weekend before we left for home-leave, we drove our car to Prague and were able to see where we are going to live, see the school, and meet some neighbors.
We left for DC and were there for a week and were able to see lots of friends.
We then left DC and flew to Monticello with family. The Chapman Family reunion is always a highlight.
Then we were off to our home state of CO. sigh. Who doesn't love CO? We got to go see some sights, have a little reunion. and stay with my brother. I am so glad my mom made the trip to be with us for a week. sigh. We would move there in a minute if B could get a great job there.
Then we were off to Northern Utah to be with my older sister, younger brother, my dad, and my 2 yr old sister. We stayed with my sister and played hospital when 4 of us went in for surgery. Dylan got his tongue clipped since he was tongue tied. He can now stick out his tongue. Logan got tubes in his ears and got his adenoids removed. Haley & B both got their tonsils and adenoids removed. It has been a pretty crazy two week recovery, but nothing too out of the ordinary.
We then went to CA to spend time with Brandon's 2 sisters and brother. We hit Disneyland and the beach and the hospital. Lucky us! Logan had some breathing issues, but we bought a nebulizer (just in case) and fled back to UT to wait some more to leave. We made three flight reservations on 3 different dates and FINALLY the fourth one we made we were able to keep.
The 6 of us flew to our new home to Prague, Czech Republic where we began our new three year adventure in a place that people claim to be the "Paris of Eastern Europe." But to me, it just feels nice to be in a place where we can call home. After a whirlwind of traveling this summer, we are content to settle down for a bit. . . maybe. :)
