Baby proof?

I just felt like I needed to give an update on Logan. He is such a good baby and is getting a little antsy to walk. Baby gates and safety locks on dangerous stuff are in place. We stand ready for destruction. I will let you know when we need back up.

Logan
  • Laughs when he sneezes, farts, and hiccups. Total boy.
  • Can crawl up the stairs and has to stop and turn around to make sure you are cheering for him every few steps. If you don't. He stops and claps for himself. Which makes is difficult on the stairs.
  • Keeps his hands in the 2 cup holders on his car seat when driving in the car. He has fallen asleep with his hands both still resting in the cup holders.
  • Thinks it's funny when anything is on your head. It started with toys and bean bags to make him laugh, but we found when B would wear a hat, he would laugh at him. When the girls got ready to leave for school and would put on their winter hats, he laughs at them. Now he laughs at everyone who wears a hat. It's winter now, so he is laughing all the time.
  • He calls himself "ga-ga"
  • Has gnawed on the side edge of the crib. You know, the edge that can't have plastic coverings. So little teeth marks line the Embassy cherry wood crib. I am not looking forward to finding out how much that will cost.
  • Can sit for a long time just reading books, but if you want to read to him, he gets impatient with you, grabs the book, starts looking at it himself, and turns his back on you.
  • Is still a little scared of Maleia the Smotherer. But sometimes pushes me away to let Haley hold him.
  • Knows how to sign "more," "want," "done," "kiss," "up," "owie," and "touchdown." So pretty much all the essentials.
  • Trained everyone at church to say "touchdown!" Logan throws his hands up in the air, and everyone yells, "touchdown!" He laughs. We laugh. They repeat it until we leave the room or class starts.
  • Dances like Chris Farley.
  • Still flirts will all the ladies and begs to be held by them.
  • Can say "uh-oh," "dada," "mama," "hi," "baa," (for ball, book, balloon) "ga-ga," (for Logan) and "num num."

  1. Let's be honest. You must have been pretty tired when you wrote this post because you listed that he can sign 2x and there is a discrepancy between the two lists of known signs. Hehehe! Love it! Here's to more sleep at night! Buenos Suerte!

  2. lol! That is funny. I added it again at the end bc I thought I forgot and added a few since from when I wrote it and when I published it, he added a few... or I remembered more that he knew. And so not only was it ONE late night, it was a few. ;)
