Mothers and Mothers-in-law . . . priceless

Dylan? Say cheese! Did I mention that this lady is a grandmother of 16 grandchildren?
Notice my garden? I have gardened. I am a gardener. Dylan? Still asleep. . . usually he would be screaming in this thing.
There you are Dylan. . . now look at the camera! Way cute smile Stephanie! Yes, all three kids are wearing "cougar shirts."
There's nothing like a grandma who reads to her grandkids.

I feel like I can do my own credit card commercial. Ticket to come visit daughter/son: $200. Buying baby stuff for daughter/son: $100 Having your mother/mother-in-law here to help right after a baby is born: priceless. I felt a little spoiled having them here in consecutive weeks and I wasn't sure that I could do everything without them after they had left, but they have given me a hand in adjusting and feeling confident I will be just fine. PLUS, the food they made was outstanding. Wow! I will have to post some of my favorite recipes from them because they are so dang good. Pies, Scotcheroos, Boston Creme Cake, and Banana Bread. (to name a few) It is funny how I go throughout pregnancy abhorring anything sweet, (much to my family's dismay because making dessert becomes detesting) but once I have my baby, I'm all about the sweets! And how sweet it is to have family come and help out. (Nice connection, huh?) That is the bummer about living here: being too far away from our family.

  3. I can't believe how time flies and kids grow up. Where did baby Haley go!?! Your garden looks fabulous. Good thing you didn't pick up anything I tried to teach you or it would all be dead by now! Family help is so wonderful. I probably got more of it living far away than I would've if I lived close!

  7. Monique--what happened? You have three BEAUTIFUL kids and blog posts about not washing pre-washing your dishes. And yet, you look like nothing has changed. How come you are sitting in a hospital bed, with a new baby, and you look perfect? So fun to find your blog and get an update on the Chapmans. You really do look fabulous and good luck with three!
