I LOVE to play sports! I was on a volleyball league this Spring and I loved it. Now I am playing soccer and love it love it love it! This is the same co-ed team that I have been playing on since we moved here- when I'm not pregnant. :) I've missed a couple seasons so far due to a couple of kids. We play Spring and Fall. This will be my last season before we leave, so that is kinda sad, but I am elated that I get to play once a week. Brandon is playing softball and the girls are FINALLY in dance which are both exciting to go and watch. Haley didn't want to play soccer this time, but we are just letting her see what things SHE wants to do, which I have found is harder than I thought it would be. Whenever I want to force, I just think of the times when I was in piano and dance....bleh! Hence, dance class for Haley and Maleia. They come home and teach me all about pirouette's, pliat's, tapping, and timing. Also, I am running in a 5K this Saturday again, so my goal is just to do better than I did last time. We'll see how it goes... I love to run, too. Sick, huh?

You are sick, SICK I say. You love to run, you love sports? I'm the girl that gets hit in the head by EVERY ball, and I trip over imaginary bumps in the sidewalk--athletic not so much.
ReplyDeleteIts plié!! =P Its okay though, soon it will be fun words and phrases like 'battement dégagé','Fouetté', and 'Rond de jambe à terre'!!
ReplyDeletePS- Yay 5k!
I will be thinking of you girls this weekend when I am running my 5K. Two cheers for exercise...and heres to trying to live healthy. For me running is not FUN per say. But afterwards I feel great.
ReplyDeleteShilae- Try growing up with three brothers who threw everything at you. If you didn't learn to catch, you got hurt. Then if you wanted to be included, you had to play sports. Jen- huh? All this French stuff. . . Isn't dance just a phase? (Ouch! Don't hit me!) jk!
ReplyDeleteDes- good luck! And yes, that is why I love it. It does feel good. It's my escape, too. It makes it that much sweeter to come home.
You know, i never was into sports either. if all i can do is fit into my pants without spillage, i am happy.

Hehe, says the woman who speaks spanish to me like I understand 1/10th of it! And yes, its just a phase, really! I'll let you know when I outgrow mine. =D
ReplyDeleteShilae you and I are in the same boat, team sports with balls are bad news for me!! =D
I am right there with you Monique... having all brothers does that to you! I can't wait to play sports again. I tried swinging my golf clubs when I was still pregnant and that was HILARIOUS! I wish that we could all play in a co-ed softball league, that would be awesome.
