Liz Biz

My friend Liz came to visit me!! It was a short few days (sniff) but we packed it all in and had a great time!
This was taken at Fisherman's Bastion overlooking Parliament and the Danube.

Liz on the steps of the Castle District. She is such a cutie patootie!

One cool section of the Fisherman's Bastion

Parliament.

INSIDE Parliament! This was the first time that we have been inside the Parliament building. It is the second largest in Europe and rather beautiful inside. Since they were not in session, we were able to peruse the meeting rooms as well. What a place to have to work.

Hero's square at dusk!

She is still the same fun-loving, crazy, awesome friend I remembered!
From snowboarding in 2000 to Budapest in 2009, we have stayed friends.
Now she's an educated lawyer and all grown up!

Isn't she purrrdy?

The classic Budapest Lancid Bridge pic. . . yet again. :)

What a beautiful night!

I am so grateful that I have made such good friends throughout my life . . . and even more grateful that they are still as cool as I once thought! My friend, Liz Jackson, from Crestwood Apartments came to visit me for a couple of days after spending some time in Paris. Fun huh? We had a blast! We traveled all around Utah and Colorado together, why not Budapest?? ;)

  5. I love that you said, "yet again" as though such sites have become blah-de-da to you. "Here we are in this amazing place that most of you will never experience taking it all in and posing... yet again."

Love it. Love you. Glad to see you up and posting again. You had a spell there where I was getting antsy. I heard a rumor that B is around here somewhere, Joe had no details to give me. What is up?

  6. Oh, beautiful pictures again. Beautiful friend too. Someday maybe you can do a post about our visit. I hope. For now, it was fun talking with B at church on Sunday. We're going to meet up with him for dinner once Brian gets here. Too bad you and the kiddos aren't here too!

  7. I have a Canon 50D camera. We bought 3 lenses: a macro lens, a walk about all around common use lens, and a wide angle lens. I don't know all the numbers off the top of my tired head, but I can peek and get back to you. I think for this set of pics the walk-about is what we used.

I don't have photo shop. If you open up your aperture (the lowest number) it helps to get a nice blurred background for portrait shots. Just watch your shutter speed and ISO. I am guessing that is what you are referring to, but I dunno. You have some breathtaking pics on your blog that I LOVE LOVE.

    Miss you, friend.

  8. I love the night pics on the bridge. Europe just looks so magical! It seems like it would be easier to have job satisfaction if you got to work in buildings like that!
