It's quite amazing what our kids pick up from us. Maleia's favorite words are "bummer" and "darn it." Haley puts her hands on her hips and points her finger. (Brandon!! jk) Okay, totally me. Maleia will put all her dolls in timeout and tell them that they can't get out of timeout until "they are good 'zamples." (That's what I say to Haley.) Haley gives the mom look at Brandon when she doesn't like what he is doing. (Sorry Brandon) It's always a riot to watch them play "mother and baby." Haley told Maleia the other day that she "can't do anything until you eat your da-gusting vegtables." It's bitter sweet when you vent to your parents what your kids are doing because most of the time they either just laugh, tell you that reminds them of you, or say, "hmm, sounds familiar," and laugh some more. That's not fair! I'm looking for sympathy, not a symphony of laughter.
This one is hilarious! I love that your kids use "bummer" That always makes me think of you! You made me laugh with your comment--we just finished up the round of "don't have sex talks" in our Young Women and guess who taught it?? :-) I love this blogging thing!
ReplyDeleteCrazy how it's the little things that make life so amazing. The kiddies are lucky to have such a great mommy and daddy.
ReplyDeleteHey Chapmans! I didn't know you guys had a blog. I love it! Congrats on the new baby boy. I'm so glad you blog now so I can see the pics of your cute fam!

P.S.--the things your girls say are hilarious :)
Ella loves to turn mom on Alex. It's funny. Especially seeing as he is almost as big as her. He's going to deck her one of these days. I love the degusting veggie part! so funny!
ReplyDeleteHey, so we need to get together soon. I can't believe I still haven't seen your new baby.
ReplyDeleteI remember when I jokingly told Joe before his first soccer game that there is no second place, just first loser. His team lost and he came up to me and said "Today I was the first loser." Those are the moments when you wish your kids had DECENT parents.
