**The next 6 posts are brand new... so kick up your feet and relax for a while... or speed skim the pics! :) I finally found a way to upload from Snapfish which takes minimal time. Thank goodness! Enjoy!
My dad & me in our back yard.
They LOVE their Abuelo! Thanks for coming to Haley's birthday party and blowing up all those stinkin balloons and helping with the crazy cake...
My dad got here the last Thursday in May. I was even extra careful and went to the airport a day early just in case... sigh. Note to self: Self, read the itinerary 20 times before writing it down in your planner and just because it says a date, it might not be that date.
He just left this morning and I am already mourning our loss. We had some good talks and great one-on-one time which I don't usually get when we are at big family gatherings, so that is a bonus for living farther away... but not a HUGE bonus. I still miss living closer.

Highlights:
We rode a hop-on-hop off bus, took a Danube River ride, toured around Budapest together, took him to our favorite Palacsinta restaurant, walked a sight-seeing hike, devoured Kurtoskolacs, experienced the Terror House, mingled around Margit Island, took the Children's train, rode all the modes of transportation, swam (but did not sit) in Aquaworld, strolled the Zoo, loved the festivals, watched movies, played games, ate the most delicious pastries ever, dragged him to the stores and school meetings, celebrated Father's Day, taught how to blog, went to the little town of Vac to hunt for an antique hope chest with me, ate some homemade Hungarian food and the best Mexican food in Hungary, endured Birthday parties, saw a Preschool Presentation, liked Prague, re-visited Paris, and just chilled together as a family.
phew!
Together is a wonderful place to be...
And I am pretty beat. How about you Dad? Dad??

Your life is unreal! I know you don't, but it seems like all you do is travel to place after place. This will be a treasured time, even if you are away from family.
ReplyDeleteSounds nice to have your Dad there for such a long time!
Major update! The pictures are so beautiful! I wish we were along with you on your adventures. I love French Impressionist art so your picture in front of the Degas mural made me slightly jealous. I hope we can still come visit sometime. It won't be for at least another year though with Brian's schedule and my internship. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteWow! Busy, busy, busy! Love all the photos- looks like you had a GREAT time! Dylan is getting so big- it's just crazy (and so not right). I have to say though my fav was a few posts down with the girls all dressed up for guitar hero- hilariously cute!
ReplyDeleteI made it through all of them and am in awe. The fact that you do all of that with three kids is inspiring. And you have a nanny/cook??? What a life.
ReplyDeleteIt's not as glamorous as it sounds. Promise! We just pay her to cook for us sometimes and she also babysits for me. She is a sweet lady. We have to pay for her.
ReplyDeleteSo I actually sat here and read all of your new posts... even though my parents are coming tomorrow and I should be cleaning my house! I am glad you had such a great time with your dad. He is cute =) Oh and I am sure my dad would want me to pass on some comment about him being your drug dealer =) Miss you guys!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you had so much fun! Can't wait to make my family a traveling family. I just don't have the courage to do it while any are still in diapers. Almost there.
ReplyDeleteYour pictures are fantastic. I love the your Paris pics. GORGEOUS! You are seriously going to hate coming back to the states.
Holy moly update! These are all SO cool. I love that you're taking advantange of living in such an unusual place and going all over. These look amazing!
