shhhhh!
I secretly dislike church right now. Well, now not so secretly. There are numerous reasons why I LOVE church, but the kids seem to drive me crazy, the calling seems a little bigger on Sunday, I have to smile and be nice and meet people I may never see again and don't get me started about sitting through sacrament without a hubby with three kids . . . especially when we forget the church bag or cars for Dylan. Good thing I know how important it is to go to church.
And I know this is just a season. I did not feel this way in December...

And really, I get home from church with an extra boost in my self esteem, a little more vim in my vigor, more motivation to do what's right, but I am exhausted and grouchy. My patience is low and all I want to sleep.
Did I mention I complain a lot when I'm grouchy too? I didn't think I had to...

Oh Mo, I am so with you on that one. I love my ward and the people, but lately takes all my motivation to get to church. Like you said- good thing we know how important it is.
ReplyDeleteIt is tough with the kids. When Jeff was gone & I spent the entire 3 hours walking the halls with a wiggly, noisy baby I sometimes wondered why I was there. I sometimes long for those days when I could actually go home feeling uplifted; I think I took them for granted before!
ReplyDeleteI know how you feel. Frustration. grrrr kids. And then to go into a lesson that teaches patience and long-suffering...I just want to throw my hymn book at them!
