We are now home from the hospital and Maleia is doing much better. She is still having issues, but they said that she can just rest at home now. She is off oxygen, which is the biggest blessing, but now we just have to watch her like a hawk and keep her from trying to keep up with her siblings!! We have to go back to the hospital tomorrow so they can check her again, but she is on the up and up. Keeping her calm and not let her run around is now my struggle... but that's MUCH better than being in the hospital!
This stress was almost enough to put me in labor... let's hope for a calmer next 2 1/2 weeks, k kids?? So only 2 1/2 weeks left of seeing that floating naked baby on my blog. Does it gross anyone else out?

I'm glad that Maleia is doing better and you can come home and I hope that whatever it is passes quickly and she can go and run with everybody else again soon. It sounds like you had some good Dr's there that know what they're doing.
ReplyDeleteAlso, best of luck with the new baby and no, your baby doesn't gross me out. I actually think it's kind of cool.
I found your blog through your facebook Maleia update. So glad that all went well. How scary.
ReplyDeleteI voted for your baby name but just had to tell you that I love Blake!!!! Check out my blog to see why. htt://bryanandlarawashington.blogspot.com
Monique, how scary for you. I really hate those fluke things that never have any real diagnosis. You know, so you can relax and treat if needed. Im glad she is doing ok, I would have a hard time sleeping after something like that. Not that your really SLEEPING at this stage. Thank goodness for blessing...they can bring comfort when there is no diagnosis. Hope the time goes by fast for you.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad that she is home and improving! As for the floating baby, I think it's cute. I haven't opened my blog for a few weeks because the only Internet I have is on my phone. I'm afraid to see how many days my countdown is down to. About 6 more weeks for me!
ReplyDeleteThank goodness!
ReplyDeleteOh Monique! Minus the being pregnant part, I have lived this trial! Jackson was hospitalized for 5 days with pneumonia while we were visiting my parents! Reading your post brought back so many memories! Holding my screaming 2 year old to prevent him from pulling out the tubes, steroid treatments that made him crazy wired, all of the "strings" that tethered him to his crib, James being gone, sleeping in my same clothes for 3 days because Jackson wouldn't let me out of his sight...I soooooo feel for you! I can't imagine doing all that while being prego! You're a great mom and Maleia is so luck to have you! Our prayers are with you!

How scary, especially not being sure what was wrong. I'm so so glad she's doing better. We'll keep Maleia (and you and baby!) in our prayers.
