My name is blah blah blah and I haven't had Cafe Rio since last summer. There I said it!! So I have a little addiction that I can't seem to get a handle of (since I can't get it here!!) I like to blame it on pregnancy and nursing, but that is completely not true. I have tried the Cafe Rio knock off recipes. IT JUST ISN'T THE SAME!! Due to recent events, my lust for Cafe Rio has heightened. We made our flight arrangements to Utah a few nights ago and instead of dreaming of seeing siblings, friends, and in-laws, I have been CRAVING Cafe Rio. Sad, but true. We are all going to Utah in May and I am staying with the three kids for three weeks, so you know that I will be chowing on some Cafe Rio. Anyone want to do lunch while I am there? :) mmmm. currently . . . starving . . . want . . . pork . . . burrito . . . and . . . chicken . . . salad . . . and . . . tamales . . . with . . . extra . . . dressing . . . (gasp!)
Maybe we'll actually be in Utah by then and I can come and pig out with you too. It's been a year for me too. Just reading your post and seeing that fabulous photo has sent my saliva glands off on a secretion frenzy. Thanks. :)
ReplyDeleteSo, e-mail the dates that you will be there. We plan on going to Utah in June, and maybe our time will overlap? Cj and i actually tried a different restaurant like that on Thursday. It was called Salsairita's and it wasn't nearly as good as the ones we tried in MD.
ReplyDeleteOoh, Cafe Rio! Yum! Well we're going to Utah in two days and you're just going to have to live with the fact that we'll enjoy all sorts of yummy food while we're out there but there will be NO Cafe Rio. Brian doesn't like to eat there so none for me either. :( I'm sure we'll fit in Nelson's Frozen Custard though.
ReplyDeleteLove Cafe Rio too! We have made the knock off recipes too and they are delicious until you go back to Utah and realize that nothing can beat the actual thing. Where are all your Disney World pics??

ReplyDeleteOk. So I've never been to Utah or Cafe Rio. I want to go just for the culinary experience. I feel like such an outsider. I'll have to fix that someday. Until then, I guess I'll have to settle for Chipotle.
