So we are watching the NBA slam dunk contest tonight and we get to chatting mostly about basketball and all the SWEET dunks that happened tonight. Seriously. Blowing out a candle on a cupcake sitting on the rim and slamming the basketball in a way so that you don't knock the cupcake down is the highlight of my day. (I am a huge sports junkie.) A close second would be this quote from that wonderful hubby I just blogged about: "You aren't chubby. Just soft and cuddly." Same to you buster! Okay I'm over it...
Back to basketball - And that cupcake dunk didn't even get a perfect score!! Dwight Howard is the man, though, with his "behind the backboard double pump dunk." HE got a perfect score. 50. Totally flushed it. Hooo weeee!
But then there was the doozie... The one that won it for me. I'm calling it the "superman dunk." When Howard took off his jersey, there was a superman shirt, then he put on a red cape. Oh for the love! It was classic. Pure Entertainment!! He ran and took off from just in front of the foul line flying in the air and THREW the ball, yes THREW, the ball into the net on the first try! Swoosh! Oh my goodness I wish wish wish I could fly like that! I yelled so loud I almost woke the kids. Bam!!!~
Of course, then there was the icing on the cake (or cupcake for that matter) when Howard tipped the ball of the glass before pounding it through the hoop as if to put an exclamation point on his win. Kachow! (Don't you love the onamonapeas?)
I'm just glad that Dwight won this year after being ROBBED last year. Watch this!
Anyway. It was a great night. Good job my man Dwight. Did my husband call me "soft and cuddly?" I don't think Dwight would call me "soft and cuddly." thhhh! :) I really am over it.
