1. Ball-point pen - good one. Everyone is even still trying to perfect this one.
2. Rubix cube - the 80's wouldn't have been as fun without it
3. Aluminum sided air-ship (aka. the airplane that we know now) Otherwise it would have taken us weeks to get here.
4. Film camera- posterity everywhere thanks you
5. carburetter- which has remained an indispensable part of cars ever since
But nothing tops this:
6. Orrszivo Porszivo - a vacuum nose suctioner that works wonders! Instead of minutes of torture, it is only seconds of torture and gets 4 times the amount that bulb syringe would get. It. is. so. awesome. Scary looking. But awesome.
http://www.thingamababy.com/baby/2008/11/baby-nose-vacuum.html - this seems expensive to me. I think it is WAY cheaper here. . . hmmm. I don't think I paid more than $10 here.
It does look a little scary... but we love it!

Wow, that thing is awesome! I totally could have used one of those with Eliza's month-long cold that she just now got over. Where are your Italy pictures-I want to see those!? Oh and guess what, we just found tickets to London for 179 each through April 4th or something. Then we can get cheap tickets on a European carrier to your house!! That's our plan anyway. We've got to check out the European "domestic" airlines. Do you know of any good ones? Eliza's passport should be here in about 4 weeks so we're getting all set! Oh with the tickets being lower earlier in the season, we are probably going to be visiting for my spring break rather than in May for graduation. Is that okay with you?
ReplyDeleteYes, it does seem scary. that looks like something i would see at the gyno office from down below!

That's awesome!!! I've thought the same thing about the hospital one--wishing there was a home version.
ReplyDeleteHaving seen Monique put this nose-suctioner to use, I can attest that it is very effective. I took a picture of Monique using it on Dylan, and my sister-in-law saw the picture and went, "Oh my gosh! Is he okay? What's happening to him?"
ReplyDeleteBut seriously, the kid was fine. And snot-free. Amazing.
Wow I could use one of those right now! Way to go Hungary =)
ReplyDeleteI gotta echo CJ's comment - when I saw the picture, I was thinking OBGYN office!

ReplyDeleteI have one of those and LOVE it! I was kinda worried my Doctor would tell me not to use it but he didn't. He said it's good.
