Only in Hungary

I was walking through the store recently and heard
"Girl You Know it's True" by Milli Vanilli
and
"You've Got to Pray Just to Make it Today" by MC Hammer
and
"Hero" by Mariah Carey
and
"California Girls"by The Beach Boys
and
was totally singing along. And not so quietly.
And these were ON. THE. RADIO!!
I hear 80s music everywhere I go here.
In the taxis, in the stores, on TV... they love it!
And so do I.

Another reason to love Hungary. :)

  1. Here in Japan I heard a radio muzak version of the Numa Numa song. It's that or Christmas music in July.

Notify me ASAP if you ever hear "Oh Mickey You're so Fine"

...and I dare you not to clap after "Hey Mickey!"

  6. Hey how weird. Our fav. radio station has been blasting 80's songs too! The girls get impressed when the song starts and i "sing" the first few lines. THEN they go: "wow mom you sure know about all that OLD music!!" nice. just wait!!

  8. That's funny! I love 80ies music too! You could draw two conclusions about that... they're behind the times, or more likely, they still think it's improper to play vulger lyrics on the radio!! Thus, our current music wouldn't make the cut! :)
